Corduff Pipe Band – Keep Free Friday 25th October 2024 @ 9.30pm for the annual Pipe Band fundraising table quiz in the Mountain Dew, Corduff, A81 A263. Table of four €20. All support greatly appreciated. Lots of prizes on the night.
RU4 Reel will play in the Mountain Dew on Bank Holiday Saturday night, 26th October.

Corduff Bowls Club Annual Open Singles Tournament (Bernie Tumelty Memorial Cup) takes place this week in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre from Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th October. Finals take place on Wednesday 30th October. Play starts at 7.30 pm each night.
Extending sincere sympathies from the Corduff Raferagh Community to Claire McEnaney & family on the passing of Claire’s beloved mother Eilish Howard, Carrickmacross. May Eilish rest in eternal peace. Also to the Ward family Coolfore on the passing of their father and grandfather Mickey. It is only three months since Mickey’s beloved wife Bridie passed away. Reunited in such a short space of time, may they both rest in eternal peace.
Halloween Display – The super talented Agnese Avotina has decorated the reception area in the Community Centre for Halloween. Well worth a visit to see her spooky creation. Carrickmacross CCE – Music and singing classes continue in Carrickmacross Workhouse on Saturdays but there will be no set dancing classes in the community centre in Corduff for the next two Mondays – 21 and 28 October. Anyone wishing to enquire about classes should text / whatsapp 089 216 5814. Instruments taught on Saturdays are fiddle, tin whistle, accordion, banjo and flute, plus three singing classes – group Irish singing for children, introduction to sean nós singing, and group Irish singing for adults.
The branch will hold its AGM on Monday 28 October at 8pm in the Workhouse. This is the most important meeting of the year for the branch and is open to any member of the public as well as branch members. Any member who wishes to submit a nomination or motion is asked to send them by email to the secretary Finian Mc Cluskey at carrickmacross@comhaltas.net.
Monaghan Field Names Pilot project 2024 – CHS will make their final presentation of the field-names project to Monaghan County Council in Doohamlet Community Centre on Tuesday 29th October at 7.30pm, this is open to anyone who would like to attend and see how the pilot scheme went across the county.
