For the month of November Mass will be celebrated at 7.30 pm on Wednesday evenings, alternating between St. Michael’s (20th) and St. John’s (27th).
The Annual Service of Remembrance Ceremony – We would like to invite you and family members to join in the annual Service of Remembrance Ceremony, when we as a Faith Community can come together to remember your loved one, who died during the year. This Service will take place on Sunday 24th November 2024 in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross at 4.00pm. (Please note the change of time.) A candle will be lit in memory of your deceased family member, and this will be available for collection following the Service. You may wish to light this candle in your home on special family occasions, remembering your deceased. A Candle and Bouquet of Flowers will be brought forward representing all our Deceased in our Parish and beyond. “To those who believe in thee, O Lord, Life is changed, not taken away.”
Community Centre Activities – Monday, Pickleball from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. Set Dancing at 8pm. Tuesday, Active Retirement Group meet every second week at 10 am; Pickleball 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm. Ceili Dancing at 8.15 pm. Wednesday, Bowls. Thursday, Pipers at 7 pm.
Bazzar – The annual Parish Bazaar will take place on Friday 22nd November, starting at 8.30 pm. This is always a wonderful community event, with all funds going to the parish fund. Lots of wonderful prizes on the night. Collectors in each townland will be calling to homes over the next few days to collect donations and gifts. https://corduffraferagh.ie/bazaar-22-11-2024/
Pickleball – The Taster Sessions held last week gave the attendees a chance to try out the new sport. The Monday morning session will continue from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. With a second session taking place on Tuesday evenings from 7-8 pm. It’s not too late to join, we are all just getting familiar with the sport, so if you would like to try it out, please come along to either session. Carrickmacross Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann annual class concert in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre on Saturday 23rd November at 7:30pm. This is a great opportunity for students of all ages to show what they’ve learned. Concert will begin at 7:30pm and we hope to have a session afterwards from about 9pm.
