The 2025 May Procession in Raferagh took place in the beautiful evening sunshine, adding to the gloriousness of the occasion. A large group gathered for the procession which included many of this year’s First Communion children from Corcreagh NS & Scoil Phádraig, all dressed in their First Communion attire. The Rosary was recited and hymns sung as the group walked from Shorts Cross to the Grotto at St. John’s where the First Communion children led the 5th decade of the Rosary. The Procession was followed by Mass in St. John’s. At the end of Mass, the choir sang Happy Birthday to Joe Smith who celebrated his 90th birthday on Wednesday, a lovely conclusion to a beautiful evening.
