Memorial Cards –  In conversation with a number of people, the task of clearing out family homesteads and not knowing what to do with the contents, has caused them some concern.  From a family or local history point of view, Memorial Cards, which don’t take up much space, are a wonderful source of information – not just a name, date and address, but in most instances they also have a photograph.  Rather than burning, or dumping memorial cards, consider passing them to a family member who may appreciate their value and have time to sort them out and distribute to people who may be glad of the information to add to their family tree.
