Litter – An Taisce’s National Spring Clean for 2026 takes place during the month of April.  Last year 5,250 groups registered for the clean-up and collected an estimated 2,700 tonnes of litter.  Sadly our local roadsides are looking terrible due to the continued littering by just a few constant offenders.  Beverage containers seem to make up the majority of the litter that commuters are throwing out of their vehicles.  Please take your litter home and dispose of it properly.

Extending Sincere Sympathies from the Corduff Raferagh Community to the Keenan family Drumberagh on the passing of John on St. Patrick’s day.  John was known by many for his vintage, heritage and political interests and also as a staunch community advocate, ever present to help out in any way in the Lisdoonan & Laragh area and beyond.  May John’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Trócaire 2026 – The Trócaire Box this year has a photograph of Uwamahoro and her family outside their crumbling home in Rwanda. “We share one cup, one plate, one saucepan. We share everything” Uwamahoro says. In Rwanda what used to be rare, once-in-a-generation storms now return every year, before families can even recover from the last. Your donation could help rebuild homes destroyed by floods – repairing storm damage, providing water tanks, planting kitchen gardens and supporting woman to diversify their income. It could supply stoves for cooking and gardens to keep children fed. Please give what you can by donating online at trocaire.org/box, calling freephone 1800 408 408 or returning your Trócaire Box to your local school or parish by Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026.
