What a huge success the Big Breakfast was in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre on Sunday last. From early on there was a steady stream of people arriving to enjoy a beautiful breakfast provided by Pauline and her CE staff – Geraldine, Lisa, Betty, Teresa, with the Egg Master PJ on high alert for a number of hours. Committee members and volunteers assisted the team, everyone flat out at their tasks. Thanks to our Toast Master Teresa, who spent hours in charge of the bread station, also providing her own scrumptious brown bread. Many people helped out to set up the hall, set the tables and prepare for what was a wonderful community morning. Families getting an opportunity to sit back and have a chat while enjoying a delicious breakfast without the washing up. Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way and Thank you to everyone who supported the event. Without the sponsorship of a number of suppliers and companies our financial return would have been diminished – so a sincere thank you to Felix Brennan, Cathal from Connolly Mushroom, Golden Irish, Castleblayney and Lidl Carrickmacross. €2750 was raised.
A special thanks to Pauline who as ever goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is covered, and that everyone enjoys their visit to the Community Centre. After 5 hours of cooking, Pauline and her team had the kitchen pristine before they left to enjoy what was left of their Sunday afternoon, a mammoth input by the ladies. Go raibh maith agat ladies.
