Corduff Raferagh Community Association Committee

Corduff Raferagh Community Association Committee would like to thank everyone who attended the official launch of CoRa Hub & the Corduff Raferagh Community Website last Friday evening (10th Feb) by Minister for Rural & Community Development and Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys.  Those in attendance had the opportunity to view the available CoRa Hub facilities and a number of enquiries have been received in the past couple of days.

The new website has information on all groups, clubs, schools & churches in the area, with contact detail for each.  The News page of the website will be updated weekly, so for those who do not use social media, the News page will give details of up and coming events and much more. We are aware that computers, tablets and smart phone can provide challenges for some people, so if anyone would like assistance on how to access or navigate the website, we are holding a third familiarisation session next Tuesday morning 21st from 10 am – 11 am in the Community Centre.

A full separate report on the launch will be posted on the website during the week.

Corduff Calling

The deadline for the submission of articles for the reprint of the 1983 Corduff Calling, with additions, is February 22nd.  We are delighted with the articles received so far and we know a number of people are putting the finishing touches to their pieces.  If you would like to write something for the new extended version, or have original copies of the photos contained in the book please get in touch so we can re scan them and hand them back to you. We would be delighted with your help & contribution.  Phone Bernie on 087 9555762 or email

The reprint of the book will coincide with the 40th Anniversary celebrations of the opening of Corduff Raferagh Community Centre, and the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the Mountain Dew Bar.  Tickets for the Celebration Party which will be held on Saturday 18th March are now on sale in the Community Centre, the Mountain Dew or from any of the Committee members.  Tickets are €30 each and included a 4 course dinner, music and dancing.  Please let your ticket seller know if you have any dietary requirements when purchasing your ticket.
