This Weeks Schedule in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre

Monday – Using your Smartphone/iPad/Tablet Course at 10 am.  Line dancing at 7 pm.  Sean Nos Dancing returns at 6 pm and Set Dancing at 8 pm.

Tuesday – Ceili dancing classes at 8.15 pm.  Active Retirement Group meet fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10 am.

Wednesday – Genealogy Course 7 pm.  Bowls at 8 pm.

Thursday – Corduff Pipers, 8.30-10 pm.

Friday – Fíor Céilí 9 pm.

A full programme of events on this week.  Plenty of activities there to choose from.

 

Genealogy Course – An introductory Genealogy Course will commence in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre on Wednesday evening 4th October for 6 weeks from 7 pm – 8.30 pm.  For anyone wishing to make a start on their Family Tree this course will introduce you to basic sources on line and how to access information.

 

Céilí Dancing Club – Classes continue every Tuesday night in the Community Centre at 8.15 pm.  Great to see new members join us this term and also wonderful to see original members returning after taking a few years off the floor.  If you are thinking about joining the club, now is the time to do so, join any Tuesday night.

Don’t forget that the club are hosting a Fíor Céilí on Friday October 6th in the Community Centre.  Music by Raymond Loney Céilí band, starting at 9pm.  A great night of dance, music, fun & food is guaranteed in a very relaxed atmosphere. Do come along.

 

Wedding Bells – Congratulations to Darren McMahon & his bride Oksana Volkova who got married in St. Michael’s Corduff last weekend, wishing you both health & happiness.

 

County Monaghan Heritage Forum – Corduff Raferagh Community Centre and Corduff Raferagh Heritage Group were delighted to host the County Monaghan Heritage Forums meeting on Monday afternoon in the Centre.  The meeting facilitated by Mary Kerley, a member of the Heritage Forum was a first for our Centre and hopefully an opportunity for further Forum gatherings.  The Heritage Forum comprises of approx. 15 members, all with invested interests in all aspects of our counties heritage such as built, natural and intangible heritage.  The Forums members represent various public bodies and historical and heritage groups.  The group meets 3 or 4 times a year to discuss pressing heritage related issues in the county, feeding their concerns, aspirations and suggestions into Monaghan County Council.
