Corduff Raferagh Community Centre Schedule – Monday – Introduction to Computers Class at 10 am.  Sean Nós at 6pm, Set dancing at 8 pm.  Line dancing at 7 pm.  Tuesday – Ceili dancing classes at 8.15 pm.  Active Retirement Group meet fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10 am.  Wednesday – Bowls at 8 pm.  Thursday – Corduff Pipers at 8.30-10 pm.  Friday – Coolfore Book signing at 8 pm.  25 Card Drive at 9 pm.


Santa Claus is coming to Corduff Raferagh Community Centre on Sunday 3rd December at 3pm.


Poker Classic – Takes place on Saturday 16th Dec at 8.30 pm in the Mountain Dew.

Congratulations to Corduff Raferagh Heritage Group member, Gerard Fealy, on the launch of his book, Coolfore, West Farney and the National School System 1826-1968, which chronicles Coolfore School from its inception until its closure in 1968.  It also incorporates many aspects of the Irish National School System in that time period, as well as touching on the surrounding National Schools including Corcreagh, Corduff, Corvally and Sreenty.

This is a perfect Christmas present for anyone interest in Local History.

On Friday 8th December from 8 – 9 pm, Corduff Raferagh Heritage Group are hosting a book signing event in the Mountain Dew for anyone who would like to purchase a book, have it autographed or have a chat with Gerard.

Christmas Tractor Run for Meningitis Research Foundation – On Saturday December 23rd, Jeffrey Eakins is holding a Tractor Run, proceeds of which will go towards Jeffrey’s climb for the Meningitis Research Foundation.  The run will start at Corduff Raferagh Community Centre (A81 A263) with registration from 3 pm and the run starting at 4 pm.  It costs €20 per tractor and there will be a prize for the best decorated tractor on the day.  A raffle and refreshments will be served in the Community Centre after the run.  Please support & everyone welcome.


Carrickmacross Cancer Society – Felix Brennan & John Fox organised a Poker Classic in the Mountain Dew on Saturday 11th November & very kindly donated the money from this successful event to Carrick Cancer Society.  Felix & John would like to thank all who supported their fundraising event and to the staff of the Mountain Dew & Corduff/Raferagh Community Centre.  A fantastic total of €855 was raised.
