Wednesday 8th May, St. Michael’s – No Mass

Sunday 12th May, 11 am, St. Michael’s – Michael, Rose & Teresa Reilly, Faraghy.

Machaire Rois Parish Notice (For full details, see this week’s Parish Bulletin)  Changes to Mass the Schedules & receiving of Holy Communion – Following on from a meeting of the Parish Liturgy Committee the following changes have been agreed:  The weekday evening Masses in the parish will be discontinued for the time being, except for the First Friday Mass in St Joseph’s Church which will remain at 7.30pm.  When a Funeral Mass occurs on a weekday, then the 10am Mass in St. Joseph’s will be put on with the Funeral Mass at the later time, usually 11am.   Also, in the interests of health and hygiene we strongly discourage the reception of Holy Communion on the tongue. We would ask that out of concern for the well-being of the priests and Eucharistic  Ministers, along with concern for other members of the congregation who wish to receive Holy Communion, that all in the congregation should receive the Eucharist on their hands.

Condolences – The Corduff Raferagh area was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Teresa Lynch, Ardragh, a true and gentle lady.  To Sean, Georgina, Terence, Michael John, Patrick and all the family, we extend sincere sympathies from our Community to you all.  May Teresa’s very gentle soul rest in eternal peace.  Sincere condolences are also extended to Marian McEnaney, Ardragh, Raymond Courtney, Fartagorman and the extended Courtney family on the passing of their sister Fiona Courtney, Carrickmacross.  May Fiona rest in eternal peace.

Corduff Raferagh Heritage Group would like to extend sincere condolences to the Lynch family, Ardragh on the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Teresa.  Our group and extended Ramblers were made extremely welcome a number of years ago, to the Lynch family property, during Heritage Week for a visit to the loft on the property which was formerly the local Dispensary and during the famine it also was used as a fever hospital.  We also traversed a few fields to visit an area still known by the family as the Hospital Rocks and the Hospital Well.  We had a wonderful evening in the presence of Teresa, Sean & Terence and we will always be grateful for their hospitality, kindness and knowledge.  To Sean, Terence, Georgina, Michael John, Patrick and the extended family, we extend our sincerest condolences.  May Teresa’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
