Go Raibh Míle Maith Agat – At last Wednesday night’s Community Association meeting, the committee members were astounded and extremely grateful to the Corduff Raferagh Drama group, on learning that their recent performances of Where there’s a Will, there’s a, Relative, generated a staggering €10,000 for the current Community Centre lift shaft project which also included a substantial private donation.  The Drama group also donated €5,000 to the Carrickmacross Alzheimer’s Day Care Centre, proceeds of their third performance.  The Community Association would like to thank Marian, Patrick, Eileen, Michael, Lorcan, Paddy, Gerry, Vincent, Briege, Bernadette, John, Sinead, Frank & Christopher for their time, dedication and commitment to the wonderful show.  It was also acknowledged that the performance was a thoroughly enjoyable community event, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the area and beyond for the past number of weeks.

Next week the lift will be delivered to the Centre and ready for installation and commissioning the following week.  Work is progressing well on the project and by the end of the month most of the work should be completed.

The Committee also acknowledged and thanked everyone who supported the event.

A vote of sympathy was passed at last Wednesday night’s Community Association meeting to the families, relatives and friends of John Doyle, Mary Larkin, Peter McGarrell, Teresa Lynch and Fiona Courtney.  May they rest in eternal peace.
