The Rosary will be recited at Our Lady’s Grotto, Corduff every evening at 8.00pm during the month of May.

 

Watering cans have been put in place at the taps in the new and old graveyards at St. Michael’s for your convenience.  Please return the can to the tap when you are finished with it.

 

Corduff Raferagh Heritage Group Ramble – Our first Ramble of 2025 will take place Sunday 18th May 2025 @ 3pm.  This is a short walk, mainly on road, but there maybe a little grass involved.  Meet at Carrickmaclim Graveyard (nearest Eircode A81 R820). Please wear Hi-Viz gear.

Raferagh May Procession – The Annual May Procession in honour of Our Lady will take place in Raferagh on Wednesday May 21st at 7.00pm. We encourage you to join the procession on the road to the Grotto, the Rosary will be recited and Hymns sung followed by Mass at 7.30pm. We extend a special invitation to the children of the parish who made their First Holy Communion and Confirmation to join us in the Procession.

 

Eucharistic Procession with the Blessed Sacrament 2025 Invite – This year’s procession will take place on Sunday 25th May at 3pm. We encourage you to join the procession, and invite you to decorate your homes & windows, and to join us in prayer as we pass your household, or as you stand along the route, if you do not wish to walk the full route. We would also like to extend a special invitation to the children of our Faith Community who celebrated the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation this year, to also join in the procession.  Procession – Route The route this year will be as follows, starting from St Joseph’s church Carrickmacross at 3pm – turning on to Farney Street, left by the Convent, via Mullinary, turning right towards Parnell Street, and onto Main Street towards O’Neill Street and back to St Joseph’s. Benediction will take place outside St Joseph’s Church at approx. 4pm.

 

Ceili Club wrap up for this season took place on Tuesday night last with live music by the Michael Duffy, Sean & Brian Walsh.  Members of the Aclint celi club class joined the group for an enjoyable wind up to the 2024/2025 season.

 

Cormagh Company Community Employment (CE) vacancies in Corduff & Magheracloone – We have several vacancies arising over the coming months in the church graveyards, and Community Centres in both areas. To be eligible to participate on a Community Employment project you need to be unemployed and in receipt of a welfare payment for 52 weeks or more. Duties will include: Maintenance, grass cutting etc., kitchen assistant duties, Admin and caretaking in community buildings.
