Corduff Raferagh Community Fun Run / Walk today Sunday 22nd February at 2 pm from Corduff Raferagh Community Centre. The entry fee to Run / Walk is by Donation.
- The event will also include a Defibrillator demo.
- An opportunity to join the Community Alert System.
- And avail of the Message in a Bottle initiative.

Brendan Finnegan Memorial Cup will take place on Saturday 28th February with former teammates and friends from Brendan’s Amsterdam GAC travelling to Corduff to take on more of his former teammates and friends from Corduff Gaels on Corduff Gaels GAA Pitch. Volunteers wanted for Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day on Friday 20th March 2026. Carrickmacross Cancer Society is seeking helpers to support this important annual fundraiser for people affected by cancer. Bowls Memorial Fundraiser – Congratulations to the member of the Oriel Zone Bowls Association (with members from South Monaghan, Louth, South Armagh and Cavan) who recently ran a Bowls tournament in memory of one of their founding members, Brendan McMahon. The competition took place in Magheracloone Community Centre and the final in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre. Over 90 participants took part and proceeds of the fundraiser raised €2,400 which was presented to Carrickmacross Cancer Society.
Main Hall Addition – A new “One Wall Handball court wall” has been installed in the main hall at Corduff Raferagh Community Centre. The new ‘one wall’ version of handball is a fast growing form of handball across the world. The Wall will mainly be used by Juvenile players, and in preparation for a One Wall Community Games Competition starting soon, the added facilities will be greatly in demand. The main handball alley in the Centre is in such demand that additional facilities were required to cover all practice and game times.
Raferagh Hall – Raferagh Community Hall Group held a fundraiser over Christmas to raise funds for the renovation works associated with the hall. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Parkinson’s Exercise class – A Boxercise / Gym & Strength class for People with Parkinson’s is starting Thursday 19th Feb at 2:30pm at the Fitness Habit, Ballybay Rd, Monaghan. Cost €2 per class for 8 weeks. This class is tailored to help fight back against the health effects of Parkinson’s. Improve mobility, strength, fitness.
