Corduff Raferagh Community Centre Schedule

Monday – Last of the Using your Smartphone/iPad/Tablet Class this Monday at 10 am.  Line dancing will return on Nov 6th at 7 pm.  No Sean Nós or set dancing next Monday due to the Bank Holiday.

Tuesday – Ceili dancing classes at 8.15 pm, downstairs due to Bowls.  Active Retirement Group meet fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10 am.

Wednesday – Genealogy Course 7 pm.  Bowls at 8 pm.

Thursday – Corduff Pipers, 8.30-10 pm, in Conference & Heritage Room due to Bowls.

 

Bowls – The Annual Bernie Tumelty Memorial Cup Singles Tournament will take place from Tuesday 24th – Friday 27th October in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre.  The Final will take place on Wednesday 1st November.  The Tournament is open to all clubs across the country, so a busy week or two ahead for the Bowls club.

 

October Bank Holiday Weekend

Pipe Band Table Quiz on Friday 27th October at 9.30 pm in the Mountain Dew.

Social Dancing to Andy Ferry on Saturday 28th at 9 pm.

Kids Halloween Disco on Sunday 29th at 5-7 pm.

RU4Reel are performing in the Mountain Dew on Sunday 29th.

 

Poker Classic in the Mountain Dew on Saturday 11th November.

 

Congratulations to all the Junior Cert Students who received their results during the week.

 

Condolences – The Corduff Raferagh Community was saddened to hear of the passing of Maggie Gollogly, Mullinary on Saturday in her 98th year.  We extend our deepest sympathies to Paddy, Rose, Charlie, Jimmy, Peter and Maggie’s sister Angela and to all members of the Gollogly family.  We also extending condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dennis Parker, Mullaghcroghery.  May Maggie & Dennis rest in peace.

 

Monaghan’s Biodiversity Conference – Saturday 18th November (FREE) 11am to 4pm Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan.  This event is a showcase of Monaghan’s biodiversity – come and hear about local projects and local issues from local speakers and find out how you can get involved in your local community! We will hear about the wonderful wetlands of Monaghan, the rewilding of our towns and villages, our work for pollinators and ongoing projects in Monaghan.   We will be launching our ‘Swift Report’ on the current state of swift populations in the county and there will be opportunities for you to contribute your thoughts and ideas for protecting and enhancing nature in Monaghan.  All washed down with some morning refreshments and a light lunch – come along and be part of the discussion, your voice needs to be heard.  For more information or to book your FREE place contact biodiversity@monaghancoco.ie
