Corduff Raferagh Community Centre Schedule

Monday – Introduction to Computers Class Postponed this week, it will return on Monday Dec 4th.  Sean Nós at 6pm, Set dancing at 8 pm.  Line dancing at 7 pm.

Tuesday – Ceili dancing classes at 8.15 pm.  Active Retirement Group meet fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10 am.

Wednesday – Bowls at 8 pm.  Heritage Group Meeting at 8 pm.

Thursday – Corduff Pipers at 8.30-10 pm.  25 Card Drive at 8.30 pm.

Friday – Christmas Bazaar at 8.30 pm in the main hall.  Movember event in the Mountain Dew.

Saturday – Comholtas Concert at 7pm followed by Sessiún in the Mountain Dew.

Sunday – Santa’s visit at 3pm.


Santa Claus is coming to Corduff Raferagh Community Centre on Sunday 3rd December at 3pm.  A fabulous fun day for the family – Speak with Santa, have your photograph taken with the great man, receive a present and enjoy the disco, all for €8 per child.  All children must be registered by November 26th.  Check out the Corduff Raferagh Facebook page or the Corduff Raferagh website ( for the link to the registration form


Bazaar – The Annual Christmas Bazaar will take place on Friday 1st December in the Community Centre.  Proceeds will go towards the upkeep of St. Michael’s and St. John’s.  Your support will be very much appreciated.  Keep this special community night free.


Movember Event in the Mountain Dew on Friday 1st December .


Carrickmacross Comholtas Concert takes place next Saturday 2nd December in the Corduff Raferagh Community Centre at 7pm. The event will feature performances by all our students from the Saturday music & singing classes and the Sean Nós & Set Dancing classes.  All our current teachers & some past students will perform together also. Following the concert a Seisiún with take place in the Mountain Dew Bar.


Christmas 25 Card Drive takes place on Thursday night, Nov 30th, in the Mountain Dew at 8.30 pm


Poker Classic – Takes place on Saturday 16th Dec at 8.30 pm in the Mountain Dew.


First Aid Responder – A CMETB tutor will deliver a PHECC First Aid Responder (FAR) Certificate course in the Community Centre in the coming weeks, this three day course will train individuals in the skills needed to deal with medical emergencies.  For more details contact Pauline on 087 297 7091.


Heritage Group Meeting – Wednesday 29th November at 8.30 pm in the Heritage Room.


Zambia Collection – Daithi Hegarty would like to thank the people of Corduff and Raferagh for their generosity in supporting his collection last Sunday at St John Church Raferagh for his trip to Zambia in October 2024. The collection raised €395 and will be used to provide the necessary aid to the children in the Sables Nua orphanage in Zambia.


Congratulations to Siobhan & Paul Lambe on the arrival of their baby daughter Willow and to Sonia Brennan & Gavin Traynor on the arrival of their baby daughter Lilly, wishing these new families health, happiness and lots of fun.


Be Safe Be Seen – During sunny winter days pedestrians and cyclists may think they will be seen by motorists, but with the sun low in the sky it is quite difficult to see pedestrians and cyclists unless they are dressed brightly or using Hi-Viz gear.  No matter what time of the day, evening or night you are out Please, Please, Please wear bright clothing – Be Safe Be Seen.


Safety Reminder – In the interest of Safety, Corduff Raferagh Community Association would like to remind all patrons or users of the Community Centre carpark to drive slowly and carefully at all times. Please refrain from reversing down the hill as this is extremely dangerous. The same applies to any carpark, with electric vehicles, high vehicles, vans or any vehicle carparks are dangerous places for pedestrians.
