Note St. Michael’s will close at 5 pm each evening for the winter, except for the evenings that Mass is celebrated.

 

November Altar List of the Dead – Name sheets and envelopes are available at the back of St. Michael’s & St. John’s, fill them in and place the completed lists in the boxes in front of the altar.

 

October Bank Holiday Weekend

Halloween Party – Kids Halloween Party Disco on Sunday 29th at 5-7 pm.

RU4Reel are performing in the Mountain Dew on Sunday 29th at 10 pm.

 

Corduff Raferagh Community Centre Schedule

Monday –  Sean Nós dancing at 6 pm and Set dancing at 8 pm.  Line dancing returns on Nov 6th at 7 pm.

Tuesday – Ceili dancing classes at 8.15 pm, Active Retirement Group meet fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10 am.

Wednesday – Genealogy Course 7 pm.

Bowls at 8 pm.

Thursday – Corduff Pipers, 8.30-10 pm.

 

Bowls – The final of the Annual Bernie Tumelty Memorial Cup Singles Tournament will take place on Wednesday 1st November.

 

Poker Classic in the Mountain Dew on Saturday 11th November at 8.30 pm.  €40 entry & €3 for buy ins.  Proceeds in aid of Carrick Cancer.

 

Introduction to Computers – The introduction to computers course is ideal for anyone wishing to learn basic computer and internet skills.  A CMETB tutor will deliver this 6 week course, cost €30.  For more details contact Pauline on 087 297 7091.

 

Bazaar – The Annual Christmas Bazaar will take place on Friday 1st December in the Community Centre.  Proceeds will go towards the upkeep of St. Michael’s and St. John’s.  Your support will be very much appreciated.  Townland books are ready for collection.  Keep this special community night free.  More details next week.

 

Monaghan’s Biodiversity Conference – Saturday 18th November (FREE) 11am to 4pm Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan.  This event is a showcase of Monaghan’s biodiversity – come and hear about local projects and local issues from local speakers and find out how you can get involved in your local community! We will hear about the wonderful wetlands of Monaghan, the rewilding of our towns and villages, our work for pollinators and ongoing projects in Monaghan.   We will be launching our ‘Swift Report’ on the current state of swift populations in the county and there will be opportunities for you to contribute your thoughts and ideas for protecting and enhancing nature in Monaghan.  All washed down with some morning refreshments and a light lunch – come along and be part of the discussion, your voice needs to be heard.  For more information or to book your FREE place contact biodiversity@monaghancoco.ie
