An Taisce’s National Spring Clean for 2026 takes place during the month of April. Last year 5,250 groups registered for the clean-up and collected an estimated 2,700 tonnes of litter. Sadly our local roadsides are looking terrible due to the continued littering by just a few constant offenders. Beverage containers seem to make up the majority of the litter that commuters are throwing out of their vehicles. As it has been a few years since a co-ordinated Spring Clean has taken place in the Corduff Raferagh area (many diligent community members have done their own litter pick) we are setting aside one hour (just one hour of your time) for a Community effort to clean up the litter on our roadsides.
When – Wednesday April 8th
Time – 7 – 8 pm.
Followed by a cuppa in the Mountain Dew
A small number of pickers are available and bags will be in the Community Centre Reception area on Tuesday evening April 7th
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO WEAR HI VIZ GEAR WHILE TAKING PART IN THE LITTER PICK
If you intend taking part let us know what road or strip of road you are going to work on so there is no duplication – email info@corduffraferagh.ie or DM the facebook page – we will publish the roads which people have volunteered to clean up to avoid duplication (just the road, not the volunteers name!)
